1 hour | Suitable for ages 12+ and adults | In-person | £50
A gentle introduction to the therapeutic environment, created for people who may be experiencing anxiety, burnout, depression or educational trauma and are unable to engage in traditional counselling at this stage in their life.
These can be booked as one-off sessions or regular bookings depending on your individual need.
Together we will explore your thoughts and feelings using a variety of art and craft techniques. Your work is personal to you, and there are no artistic skills needed; it is simply a space to use creativity with repetition to focus the mind and calm the nervous system.
At each session, we will use seasonal and nature-based materials to create individual works of art. There will be no expectation for you to talk about the past or your experiences, but I will invite you to reflect on any connections between your chosen images and what they might mean for you.
What you can expect from therapeutic art sessions:
Seasonal themes and a choice of materials
A safe, quiet and welcoming environment
The option to work outside
Encouragement to express yourself, without judgement
No pressure to talk or make eye contact
Support from me, Becs, a qualified counsellor, with a background in graphic design, art and illustration.
